Earlier this morning, many Six Flags parks across the country announces new rides. Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington has unveiled plans for a new ride with the closing of their classic Flashback roller coaster and Texas Chute Out rides. One of the new replacements is the Texas SkyScreamer. Once constructed, it'll be the World's Tallest ride, much taller than their Oil Derrick Observation Tower and the Superman Tower of Power. Think of it as the Gunslinger ride on steroids. It's scheduled to open next year.

SFOT's counterpart water park Six Flags Hurricane Harbor also unveils plans to revamp The Black Hole as they're near its 30th anniversary. During its off-season, workers will be tricking out this water ride with state-of-the-art technology, complete with holographic images and sounds to tingle your senses as you cruise down the 500-ft. tube. It'll be renamed The Black Home of DOOM!!!...4-D, also scheduled to open Summer 2013.
