As U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell continues to press the case against Iraq on Capitol Hill, a key NATO ally in the region is offering what could prove to be crucial military assistance. Turkey's parliament has given the U.S. permission to upgrade Turkish bases and ports for use in a potential conflict.

I'm very glad Turkey is giving us the time of day to take up camp and perform military operations and also field training there as well. We already have a few bases there from when I was in the Army and they are very compromising in assistance with the conflicts and war efforts.
