ANAHEIM, Calif. (Court TV) — Angels television broadcaster and former major leaguer Rex Hudler was suspended indefinitely by the team last Thursday following his arrest for possession of marijuana.

Hudler was arrested Aug. 30 at the Kansas City International Airport after a random X-ray of his suitcase produced a brown box containing a green leafy substance, and a three-inch pipe with residue, according to police. The substance tested positive for marijuana.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 15.

Hudler, 42, is in his fifth season as the Angels' baseball television analyst. Hudler retired after 21 years playing for 18 professional baseball teams, including the 1994-96 seasons as an infielder and outfielder with the Angels.

Bummer. And I actually liked Rex Hudler (he played one season for the Phillies and seemed like a really great guy).
