Just blowing my horn here a bit and basking in the glory of seeing new life begin. To think that a few hours before the miracle of life on the outside of the womb began, this baby was inside waiting to be officially counted amongst the living. I'm am so happy he is here, and my daughter had no complications. Thank you God.

I like to think I'm young...I'll get back to you in a while......that baby and Mom will most likely be living with us :)

I should add....the Daddy is in the Army Reserves and is deploying this week. He was given special permission to go to the hospital for the birth but must report back today. He is able to go home at night, (again ...special permission). Mom was actually induced so that the Dad could be here for the birth.

Congrats J Babies are wonderful,
I thought I'd share one of my favorite poems with you, it's so true my baby boy is already 16

When a baby enters this world,
into your life
A baby can make you forget your
worries and strife.
It really doesn't matter whether
it's a girl or a boy
A baby will melt your heart and bring you joy!
So shower a baby with love,
every single day.
Show a baby you truly care-
there's so many ways.
For with a blink of an eye, time
will fly out the door-
and your precious baby, won't
be a baby anymore!!

Way to go grandpa J. Another youngster you can teach the Red Sox tradition to. Man I feel old I will be 43 in March and still haven't got married yet. I just haven't found the right one yet.

I turned 40 in January and haven't found Miss Right either.

There's nothing to compare with a tiny, smiling face, toddling over to you with grubby hands and an open heart, asking, "Canny, pease, Gam-pa?" to melt even the "Storm of the Century" into puddles... :)

Congratulations, and have a BALL with him! :D

(OK, so I'm "soft"....)
