I thought I'd seen it all, but am honestly stunned....after learning on the noon news that a triple murder occurred INSIDE a northeast Atlanta church DURING this mornings worship service.....among the dead is the A.M.E. church pastor
Several others are seriously injured..

Police aren't sure of a motive, but say the murderer is also dead (possibly by suicide)...

What is the world coming too when a person isn't safe inside their own house of worship on Sunday morning?

That's horrible!

I think that there was a similar story though a couple of years ago of something like that happening in a church.

My God..now you don't feel safe ANYWHERE you go. Truly horrible.

We used to live in NE Atlanta. Do you remember the name of the church?
I, too, am so sad to realize that we aren't safe in church. I just got home from church and felt perfectly safe!

Turner Monumental A.M.E.

The sanctuary was empty except for the shooter and two victims. It was a woman in her 40's who was upset and killed her mother and the pastor(both in their 60's), then herself. Sunday school classes had ended and the service hadn't begun yet. The pastor went in the sanctuary to talk to the woman and her mother. Also, the mother had just taken the woman out of a mental facility.

Nothing is safe anymore! I guess it is something we are just going to have to deal with, but it really is a shame!
