My FORECAST on the CALIF GOV Recall race OCT7

#1 Postby Guest » Mon Oct 06, 2003 8:09 pm

there are 2 parts to this vote. Keep in Mind that FIRST voters must for or against the Recall referendum ... THEN SECOND vote for the candidates...

That being said it is also important to realize that a) the Very act of
voting in the recall FAVORS the recall act. If you dont want Davis recalled why vote?
so the very nature of the recall Hurts Davis.

B) there have been 1.8 MILLION absentee ballots --- almost 3 times the old record --have been mailed in and are ready to be counted.

The have been several Referendums that seem to be popular conservative referendums over the past 20 years in CAL... then as the Liberal Media in that state ( the LA time and San Fran Chronicle) swing into action the POLLs SEEM to change...

Example PROP 187 back in 1994 was an initiative statute that
sought to deny public social, educational and health services to aliens who
are in California illegally. a Month before the election that Prop was leading by 20 points

then a week before the vote in 1994 the polls show a dead heat in the vote for and against 187. It passed by 17 points.

what happened? simple as the media hype intensified ILLEGAL immigrants started answering the Pollsters when the called to do their survey. "are you a legal citizen Jose? '.... Um yeah sure... and I am against Prop 187...

OK back to This recall. With Bustamante in there Millions of Illegal have declared their support for Him answer the Polls But of course and they cant Vote.

THUS THE RECALL WILL PASS BY 12 OR MORE POINTS If I had to Guess numbers 57 for the recall and 43 against the recall
Next Most voters know Dirty tricks when they see it and the LA Times bringing back a story that was first published in PREMIERE entertainment magazine 6 weeks ago on Arnold Boorish behavior is seen as Just that -- DIRTY tricks!!.

events of 10 15 20 25 and 30 year ago are meaningless drivel. He wasnt in office none of these women worked with him or for him... and no charges or civil action was taken against Arnold. Not ONE time in 30 years.

VOTE.... Arnold 44% Bustamante 30% McClintock 25%

Can't find anything to argue with there DT. Think you got it just about right. I know here in Houston, where we have a large illegal latino population we see the same thing as far as the Latino's and voting goes. If you took a poll here that was a random street sample and not a contrived one like so many seem to be you would more than likely find that any latino candidate was leading, but when It gets down to the real vote is is truly difficult to get the Latino's out to vote. I think Bustamante would have had a better chance to take the election if it were not for this. Tomorrow evening I expect we will all be addressing Aaahhhnold as Govenor. I am not just conjecturing here, I have worked to try and get some latino candidates elected. Even our canvassing of the registered Latino voters indicated a clear win, but in the end they did not vote. If they had(just half the ones we contacted)it would have been a landslide.

Yup, looks like there will be a recall and Arnold is going to win.

I'm extrememly dissapointed by the lack of support from Conservatives for McClintock. This is truly the only intelligent candidate running who actually has a defined platform. I'm dead set against Arnold due to his stance on Abortion, and his very vague outline of how he plans to accomplish his goals.

Not to mention.....haven't we had enough of "gropers" in public office? Oh well...I can't vote anyway (not a Californian)_ but I wonder how many of you out there feel as I do..that you have been cheated by not being able to vote in this election? I mean its all we've heard about for the last 2 months. What troubles me is the the amount of voters clinging to Arnold, and if you asked them what his stance was on almost anything..they would look at you with a dazed and confused look.

I couldn't agree more with you j! The Republicans in the state of California have a chance to elect someone decent and intelligent from their party and they are voting for Arnold. I think that is a cop out. They would rather have someone who "says" he is a Republican than actually is. If I were a Republican in California I would be mad as heck!

I don't think McClintock will get 25%. It will be more like 10% or so.

I agree with all that, but will further predict that after the election, there will be challenges, recounts, accusations of fraud, etc, etc, etc, and it will get uglier than before the election.

You probably are right. In addition, I think that if this recall passes and Gov. Davis is recalled that it will set a damaging precedent. From here on out every time a governor has to make a tough decision that is unpopular by the majority then they could potentially be recalled.

Republicans have the most to lose in a recall because the majority of Californians are Democrats. This may have opened a can of worms...

Somebody on Fox News reported last week that they already have formed an "exploratory" commitee( translation = members of the State Democratic Party a step ahead with signatures...this before the elected candidate has done ANYTHING illegal, immoral, or been given a chance to break any promises) to go forward with a recall if anybody besides a Democrat is elected.

I believe it is more likely that the recall will happen and Cruz Bustamonte gets elected then it is that the recall will fail. Gray-out was barely reelected in the first place and I think voters (liberal and conservative) have had enough of his failed policy. I too believe Arnold will win though.

I agree with what you are saying Ed.

The only good thing that I see coming from this mess is that it's not a SEASONED politician that is running for office (and perhaps winning). I agree having experience in politics will help, but the word "Politics" and it's world in general with the people that are in it just make me want to throw up sometimes. Fresh blood is SORELY needed.

No...not Davis doing it. It is the liberal L.A. Times grasping at straws.
