Do you have any magazine subs? I get Readers Digest, Country Living, Field and Stream, SAR Technics, NASAR (National Asc. of Search and Rescue) and another SAR Magazine, I forget the name "LOL!"

I receive (and give!) a subscription to IMPRIMIS (newsletter of Hillsdale College), several Masonic supply magazines, Missouri Freemason, Royal Arch magazine, Knights Templar magazine, and a couple of knife/swordmaker's catalogs. I do a little "window-shopping" online, as well.
Coppertop gets magazines from church youth groups and video game reviews, and Debi receives one or two from the Baptist church.

I used to subscribe to Weatherwise, Mariners Weather Log, Storm Data, Monthly Weather Review, and Pro Football Digest...but since coming onboard the internet, have allowed all of them to expire..
I still purchase an occasional Weatherwise at Borders at the mall....and also a football or racing magazine once in a while.

Do you have any desire to read back issues of Arizona Highways? I'm not sure if I still have any of my stepdad's (he had TONS of AH as well as National Geographic, Naval Proceedings, Hitchcock, and Ellery Queen). But if I come across any more of the AH, would you be interested?

Dennis - if our budget allowed, I'd have a ton of mag subscriptions! Over the years it was down to just one - Consumer's Report. My husband's reference for almost any purchase. I'll say, hey this coffee maker is on the blink. He says, don't run out and buy one until I see what CR recommends. LOL That is the ONE and only script we never let expire. I'd have to say we've been receiving it for over 10 years now. They should give us some free issues........

!
Then our daughters moved into Middle and HS years. Both PTA Fall fundraisers are you guessed it - magazines! So now I've allowed them each to choose their own mag and then I choose one. That's suddenly 4 new magazine scripts each year! Jim isn't really aware of this. Shhhh! Don't tell him. This year the 4 were Vegetarian Cooking (Nina's new thing), Nickelodeon Mag, Midwest Living (my old favorite) and Cooking Light (my new favorite). Both ML and CL have really good recipes (I've sent you a few in PM's Dennis and I posted the Buttermilk Pralines one over at S2K Kitchen).
And years ago, in another lifetime for me, I used to subscribe to Soap Opera Digest! Now don't rub it in too much......LOL Hey, it was much cheaper than newstand prices!!!
Mary
PS - to sound really frugal here, have any of you spent an hour or two in the library magazine section? Cost? Zip! If I have time, I like to do that. You can even check out mags! Not current issues but back issue ones are available for loan.

I don't care. My grandfather loves Arizona and that was the main reason for me getting the subscription. If you want to get rid of them you can and if you don't you don't have to.

Up to you!

Reader's Digest, Guideposts and Smithsonian for my folks and I...Kiting and Kiplinger's for my Dad...Family Circle, Better Homes and Gardens and Woman's Day for Mom.

Also, National Geographic for Kids for my niece and nephew when they come to visit.
Plus a TON of catalogues just about everyday in our mailbox, too.
I think since the "Do Not Call List" came out...we'll ALL probably start receiving alot more catalogues! :o

Oh I get lots of catalogs now. Ever since I've been purchasing items at Lands End or LL Bean, online.
So many that we recycle all catalogs and magazines now. Seems each week I have a paper bag full of them. Each item I purchase comes with a new catalog in the box.
