Got back from NC Friday afternoon.

#1 Postby deb_in_nc » Mon Oct 20, 2003 5:24 pm

It was quite a trip to say the least. We drove straight through both ways.
We left here at 8pm Tue. night. Got there ( Asheboro) after 9 am Wed.
Slept for about 3 hrs. on the sofa, ate dinner, went to my youngest brother's house to see his baby. Went to bed about 11pm. Got up at 7am Thur. morning. Took showers went to shoe store because I couldn't find my dress shoes before we left home. Went to eat an early dinner before the service at funeral home at 6pm. Went to my cousin's house after service for a few hours. Went back to my sister's house to get our stuff.
Started back home around 11pm. Got home Fri. after 12pm. Had to be back to work at 5 am Sat. morning. That along with the emotional stress made for a bad week for me. Then I turned 48 today. You could say that I feel like 148. I need a vacation. :o

(((Hugs))) to you Debbie. OMG, what a draining trip. You must be physically and emotionally drained. Your brother's new baby had to be the shining star of the entire trip.

48 is a very good age. I had more fun at 48 than I have ever had!!!!! Happy Birthday.
Take Care

I'm sorry that the week has been so draining for you and the trip couldn't have been made under happier conditions.

I hope that you have a Happy Birthday anyway!!!

Deb...trips like that are emotionally draining anytime. Birthdays should be postponed until happier times. Or as in my case, postponed indefinitely.

Still, we're glad you are back. Look ahead on the calendar and make those plans for a real vacation. Even if for only a few days.

I feel better just having slept for 11 hours. I didn't know what day it was this morning. :o I've been looking at houses at a few web sites. I'm mostly interested in the craftsman style. I like the warm homey feel to them. I don't know why I'm looking now. Can't buy another til we sell this one. I know it will be tough moving but I still can't wait. Maybe I'll win the lottery and be able to buy sooner.

Debbie

PS Thanks Josh. Ah, but to be 21 again and know what I know now.
