STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (Court TV) — Penn State receiver Tony Johnson faces a preliminary hearing on Nov. 26 after being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Johnson, 21, had a blood-alcohol content of 0.136 when the Mercedes Benz he was driving was pulled over at about 3 a.m. on Oct. 17, police said. The state legal limit for driving in Pennsylvania is 0.08.

Johnson, who has 25 catches for 375 yards this season, failed the field sobriety test and was taken to a local hospital for blood tests, authorities said.

The second-degree misdemeanor charge carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison.

The university had no immediate comment on the arrest or Johnson's future status on the team.

This foot ball season for Penn State has not been a pretty one.. Though I do not go to the football games that much.. I watch it on TV.. and I have CWS shift during the time the foot ball games are usually held. ^^;; But this was just very bad none the less. And no I have not met this guy.

I think it is going to take a few years before Penn State's football program can get back to respectability. Things like this are just making it worse.
