Please remember my little nephew in your prayers

I learned last night from my sister (Becky) that my 4 year old nephew Jake is scheduled for major surgery on his urinary tract Novmber 3rd. They are going to repair a congenital defect that has already led to repeated serious kidney infections and apparently caused damage to his right kidney.
Needless to say, I'm worried to death....not only about little Jake; but his mom (sis) is 6 months pregnant...so I'm very concerned about her as well.
Thanks in advance for your prayers on their behalf...I really appreciate it

I will pray that everything goes well with your nephew Jake. I know what it is like to have a major surgery, and how important it is to have everyone pray during that time. When I had surgery as a kid, I received several prayers from people I didn't know, and I can only return the favor for those in need. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thanks everyone! I'll keep you updated. Jake's surgery is scheduled for early next Monday morning at the Children's hospital in Portland (Oregon).
Chris...I know what you mean. I've never had surgery, but was diagnosed with severe asthma at age 3, and almost died from it several times before the age of 16. I've had many, many wonderful prayers offered on my behalf as a child....and I credit those folks praying and God for answering them as the reason I'm alive today
