since the weather is raw tonight, been just chillin' at home again on the pc. my friend told me about a spyware/adware free version of Kazaa called Kazaa Lite. he downloaded, installed and has been running it for two weeks without any pop up's or hassles. i have followed suit and am currently running it without any problems. if you are one of those looking for free mp3's or other types of file downloads, may want to try this one out. p

Hmm...I don't think its such a good idea now that the music industry is starting to fight back. Most cases can be settled for $3,000, but I would rather buy the CD. But, a couple of years ago, I would have jumped on the chance to download Kazaa lite. Lawsuits ruin everything :lol:

Ditto Chads comment. It's great. I've really cut down on downloading. Once in a while though.....

I'd much rather use WinMX - to date, none of the RIAA lawsuits have involved WinMX users.

I prefer Grokster over Winmx. EFF has some good info and you can search the Subpoena database to see if your name is in it. I am going to check into eMule as an alternative filesharing network.

it's good for sampling but i agree that the original is the better way to go. as an artist, i have integrity for others hence why i prefer to support with a purchase. since i am into electronic music which involves obscure artists and dj's, this helps though... p

Here's a dumb question: Is your IP address the same as your email address?

by ColdFront77
No, an IP address is all numbers... in this form "##.##.###.##";
with that said, you know your e-mail address isn't the same. :)

Thanks Tom, I thought it was that. Now, where do you find it?

Never mind. I did a quick Google search.
