How's your normal dinner cooked? Do you cook from scratch, buy frozen dinners, make boxed dinners (like Hamburger Helper) or do you simply order take out? Me.......I do 99.99% of the cooking (not that Michelle isn't a GREAT cook mind you) I simply LOVE to cook and 99.98% of my cooking is from scratch!

Partially from scratch. Usually a frozen vegetable, real potatoes, and chicken/fish/turkey.
Years ago in my first marriage I made nearly everything from scratch. All sauces, cakes, cookies, etc. I kept my pantry well stocked and that is how I cooked. I even made Cream of Wheat the old fashioned way. Didn't own a microwave (1975-1984). I used to melt butter in a saucepan for recipes, yes I did that.
Now I buy noodle and pasta dishes. And Bisquick for biscuits. What would my old Home Ec teacher say? LOL Cooking from scratch isn't that hard, you just need to keep your staples stocked up.
We also have a self-imposed no carry out family rule. Ever since Jim's brother had a heart attack at age 35 (then a stroke at 37, long story.....a result from open heart surgery). So we said then and there we were eating out way too much. And it wasn't healthy. We eat at home about 95% of the time.

How about the option of having someone else cook it from scratch for you? My best friend's fiance LOVES to cook gourmet food. He always has a cookbook out, studying different recipes and techniques. Then he prepares a meal and tests it out on us, usually on Thursday nights while she and I kick back, relax, and watch our Must See TV.
For breakfast and lunch and the nights when I have dinner at home, it's usually Cheerios or oatmeal for breakfast and a small steak or grilled chicken and veggies or salad for lunch and dinner.

Mostly from scratch but I do use canned foods and frozen foods, too to prepare my meals. And we eat out a few days a week to.
There is nothing like a "home cooked" meal!

Cooking is my hobby and one of my passions, so I cook from scratch. I have a sign of my refrigerator that say "I cook with wine - and sometimes I even put it in the food!!"

Lots of take out. Sometimes from scratch. Sometimes from a package.
But all holiday baking is from scratch *grins*

You mean they make food in boxes? In the Freezer?
I love to cook and if it can be made from scratch, then it is. The only thing I can't do is pie crusts. That's why I have my wife.

for me, its usually leftovers of what my mom (or step-dad) cooked and also from the restaurant that my boyfriends parents own.

All of the above. Two worker family, I work shifts. Its hard for all of us to get together for a real meal. When I am at work, my lovely wife makes boxed meals or orders a pizza. When I am home, usually a home cooked meal or out for a burger (Not fast food) or something.

Normal dinner is a sandwich from WaWa's, Arby's or the local pizza place for a meatball sandwich.
I usually cook on Sunday. We have Marty's sons over. One son, Michael is very picky and he doesn't like Italian food

. I'd love to make a baked ziti or lasagna. I do like to cook but I just don't do it that often anymore.
