Sheryl Crow...What color is the sky in your world?

Sorry OtherHD because I know how much you like Sheryl Crow but you may not want to read any further.

First of all, I've always liked her music and listened to it. But her latest comments make me question whether I want to spend any more money on her music which contributes to her celebrity soapbox.

"If we can't turn to our artists, who can we look to?" Crow told the Daily News.

IS SHE KIDDING ME??? THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN HELP US ALL?????? SONG SINGERS??????????????? :o

Can she honestly have such an over-blown opinion of HER opinion??? She must save the world from this error (war)?? SHE knows better than presidents and prime ministers, heads-of-state, military strategists, foreign policy experts, intelligence gatherers, etc?

She has used all of her inside resources and data to decide this is not the best course??? Give me a freaking break!!!!!!!!

These people are full of themselves to a degree I can barely comprehend and surely could never attain! And sadly many will think she is more informed than they are and assume she must be onto something.

But then she told reporters, "I think war is based in greed and there are huge karmic retributions that will follow. I think war is never the answer to solving any problems. The best way to solve problems is to not have enemies."

Ok, now I think I understand a little better. I pity her. She is truly intellectually challenged and I suppose she can't help that.

Am I to understand that she thinks we should be "friends" with Saddam Hussein? Ignore his horrendous actions so he won't be our enemy?

Let's just invite him on over for a bar-b-que at Bush's ranch in Crawford and straighten this little misunderstanding out! Or we could just fly over Iraq and sprinkle flower petals.

HMMMM

I love her music too, so I have to partition my mind...and put everything I hate about these hollywood type, peacenick, save the world activists, because if I don't, I fear some of my most beloved music will begin to turn my stomach sour....and I love music too much for that.

Unfortunately, the music industry is full of the same kind of people the Movie industry has. I don't know what it is about these people ....that they think we would give a rats *** what they think....but they all seem to do it, like it goes with the territory.

Some of them actually believe they are God-like and invincible. Unfortunately, there are more where she came from.

Yes, I do love Sheryl Crow, but I will admit that some of the things she has said are pretty foolish. But as for her political beliefs, I couldn't care less. She's an American (an "all-American rebel," actually) and is entitled to her views. And while I disagree with a lot of them, nobody has the right to strip her of that opportunity. I will continue to buy her albums as long as she keeps on rocking and making quality music. I don't care if she's Communist, Anarchist, Republican, or Democrat.

I like her music too, and think she is fantastic. However I could not think of going to someone like her to expand my political views....in that respect I think she has "SOAKED UP A LITTLE TOO MUCH SUN!"

Rainstorm, a big part of the media's fascination with the Hollywood and Musical crowd is purely economic. These high profile people sell on the air. People tune in just to see their favorite stars. It's not fair but so is a lot of other stuff in the world. The rank and file American still has the ultimate voice, at the polls. Everyone should take and use this freedom that so many have fought and died to preserve. The way I feel is, if you don't vote don't complain. Either work to change things or accept what comes.

We as a country did not say " I think today we should hate Saddam,He's an ass." No we as a country stopped him from slaughtering inisent people.
For this people hate Us now, to the point we have to fear for our safety and the safety of our families. Thats not right. They should have taken care of the problem when they had the chance.
