Two Icons Wage A War of McWords

Perhaps the next edition of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary might contain the term "McWhine".

Among the words that the 11th edition of the best-selling dictionary added this June - along with "brewski", "comb-over", and "heart-healthy" - was "McJob".

But Friday, McDonald's CEO Jim Cantalupo sent an open letter to Merriam Webster objecting to the word's definition - "low paying and dead-end work."

What's more, McJOBS is the trademarked name of the fast-food company's own training program for the mentally and physically challenged. Meriam-Webster said that the company stands by it's definition.
