I got two e-mails that someone is running a poll about whether I should come back or not and that it was split about 50/50 for me to come back so guess there is no overwhelming request for my return.

And you bring up a good point which I have tried to get a technical answer to many times but get very little or just a mish-mash of excuse making. To me, they have cheap stuff that cannot handle the load. I even got some info that they may not be paying their servers. Why is it that the site over there fails on a average of once every one- two months and is slow with a lot of web site not responding on a daily baisis. Thanks

I have been able to access WWBB the last several days, until this late afternoon/early evening.

The error today was some kind of techincal problem. Why they keep crashing is beyond me. It could be they just don't pay much attention to the board. I'm sure they spend a lot more time on teir paying customers. We feel bad when we have 10 minures of downtime in a quarter

There was a thread about 3 pages long stating how WWBB is better then every other board, and S2K is bringing members from WWBB, and people are mad. Etc... Then another dude posted about how this is another "WxChat" type place because you're all "too friendly" to that board.

Ya.

Dosent bother me they say that. I take it as a compliment, being called "Too Friendly" and too "warm and fuzzy". LOL.. why is this a bad thing? I just dont get it.. lol

I think the small handful of WWBB veteran wxchatterers who are against a warm and fuzzy atmosphere...just thrive on verbally tearing into each other over there for however long that site has been in existence.

I've never been there either.

Just have heard the horror stories from those that have been there.

And mostly the same ones that bring absolutely nothing to the table but stupid @$$ comments and flames ... there are several posters that do nothing but incite the professional mets and amateur forecasters alike and it's no wonder why the atmosphere sometimes is kill or be killed. You
must have thick skin to give/take some of the stuff that can be thrown around on WWBB. WWBB is
not a heavily moderated like this one.
The technical information offered by a good number of posters over there is excellent - especially from posters like HM, DT (WxRisk), and many others, but it gets old sifting through many pages of flames/mudslinging just to find the quality posts.

I haven't ever been there, either...do the initials mean "Who Will Bubba Bruise (next)"?

WWBB stands for Wright-Weather Bulletin Board.
Does anyone know who "Wright" is?

I knew that, CF77...as to the "Wright", I haven't a clue; that board seems to have problems getting anything "Wright" from what I've heard.
