i can only think they fired the older mets in order to go for a younger more "hip' look.

And in doing that they also got rid of some of the best that they had! Terry Smith was one of my favorites, but she didn't get very much airtime. Marny has been there at least since the 80's. What a shame.

Kristen Dodd is looking so much "different" these days. I hardly recognize her.

The TV personality life expectancy falls off rapidly as you say goodbye to your 20's and early 30's. While I'd like to wait to hear the source of this news, it comes as no surprise that seasoned veterans are replaced by new OCM's named Perky and Pert.

The only one I know is Rick Griffin. Too bad they could not get rid of that late night OCM that is with Dave Schwartz. She drives me insane. lol.

Someone from TWC made a post saying that on another message board, someone said the named OCMs were fired. Apparently this message board has some people close to TWC and are "in the know". I don't know how reliable this report is.

I think it's Sandra Diaz you're referring to. This is a huge shock to me as well. :o Rick Griffin especially. I wonder why they gave all three the boot...

OMG is all I can echo. Shocked they would fire these 3 OCM's. TWC is hardly a place I recognize anymore. I stand firm in not ever bowing to TWC message board Admin and asking if I can come back. Oh no. My status is still restricted. And it can stay that way for all I care. Never thought I'd lose respect for TWC but I have. Now when a big storm is coming - hurricane/blizzard, etc. - I do turn to TWC. But as for their fluff pieces and what not, forget it. I can easily find storm stories on the Discovery channel. I'm just venting and getting off track but it doesn't take much!

Well if its "image" they are worried about they oughtta either make Steve Lyons aka Mr Magoo wear a toupee or better yet take him off the air. I rarely watch TWC anymore since we have some darn good local TV Mets here..namely Jeff Lawson. In with the new...out with the old..isnt that a shame???

I don't know who is running that place, but it seems to me that ever since our bloody friday things just seem to get worse and worse there!!! I asked 3 times for an explanation of my banning and the only answer I ever got was we don't know why you were banned. Sounds like SOSDD there to me. Really a SAD, SAD SITUATION IMO! something that was many years ago awesome and useful has become a major fluff channel IMO that is almost useless.
