FORT WORTH, Texas - It's billed as a duck mystery.
Somebody apparently tied closed a duck's bill at Trinity Park pond. Thanks to some alert duck feeders, the problem was spotted on a recent Sunday and a successful rescue effort mounted.
Amy Nelson, business director of the Humane Society of North Texas, and wildlife rehabilitator Judy Richardson from Wildcare immediately responded and jumped in to retrieve the white duck, which could not eat. After an overnight assessment, it was found to be OK and was taken back to the pond the next day.
