Go to

http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/orbits/

It has information on 544 asteroids that are potentially hazardous to the earth. There are exellent animations showing the planets and each asteroid moving in their respective orbits. You can zoom in and out, rotate the orientation of the model, go backwards and forwards in time and change the speed of the animation.

After seeing that, all I can say is YIKES!

Wow that is pretty scary. I wish they had stats listed on the probability of a collision occuring. Cool link, thanks.

Mrschad, they do have all kind of stats. Look at the buttons on the left. Two good ones: "close approaches" and "impact risks."

I never knew we had so many near collisons. A couple a week? Yikes is right!
