Just curious, what's the turkey prices in your area like? Ours...around .39 lb........I heard on the news that turkey prices are the lowest in EONS this year, so I wonder :?: who's making the profit this year?? Dang sure ain't the consumers :grr:

Now....another question, how do you plan on cooking yours? This year, I'm SMOKIN' it with Applewood 8-) Inject it with the *Azsnowmans Secret Ingredients* bake it for 2 hours then smoke it for the last 2 hours.

We're going out to dinner with my Mom. But if were roasting a turkey, I order mine fresh from my local butcher and then roast it. The regular way. I no longer stuff turkey's though. I would make the stuffing and bake it in a casserole dish though.

I have never bought a frozen turkey before and much prefer fresh. While I scrimp and save with many purchases, ordering a fresh turkey from a meat store is just what I've always done. I don't even ask the price b/c I've always thought fresh tastes best.

Linda - would that be deep fried turkey? If so, let me know when the meal is being served and I will be there! :)

I think we paid 39 cents a pound. We will do the old fashion preperation and "gobble" it up. :)
