I can't afford to keep losing friends at this rate.

A co-worker was murdered last Sat. morning and a really great friend died Wed. night about 11 pm. I'm so tired from the first one, how will I get through the second one? I feel all used up emotionally. I hope God is listening. Police might be close to making an arrest on the first one. The second had been battling cancer for several years. God give strength to the families.

Deb - I'm so very sorry for your loss. You and their families will be in my thoughts and prayers too. Sometimes when situations like this happen, losing two good friends so close together, it's hard to grasp or fully comprehend. I can understand how you're feeling right now. Please lean on all of us and we'll help you thru it.

Hugs too.

Deb....a single loss is too many. But for mulitiples to come at any one time is a great moment of sadness.

I am thinking of you...we are thinking of you, and the families of the victims as well.

Out of the loss you will find emptiness, but new friendship seeds will be planted as well.

Oh Deb!! How awful!! I haven't had to deal with much loss in my life (two distant friends and two grandfathers I didn't ever get the chance to meet), and I can't imagine having to go through what you are right now!! My thoughts and condolences go to you and the families of the victims, and I pray that you come to terms with what has happened!!

that is awful deb...just awful...

Speaking of awful, well, here I go again. I asked a friend (named Lindsay) to talk to me b/c there was something I needed to know about what she thought about my attitude...well, I got STOOD UP!!!! that's right, you did NOT misread...she stood me up, abusing my trust in the process...what did I do to deserve this??? Did I ever come across as mean to you all?? I thought I'd ask you guys, and I ask you to please help me...I have lost a good friend today(maybe not forever but still lost) b/c of this spat...it is very upsetting...

I guess no one but Stephanie really wants to help me...I am grateful to you Steph, but I really do think I need more support....btw to set the record straight about the attitude question, the reason I had asked was because people at school were saying I was a mean person, so I wanted to get a couple of opinions.........

Thanks everyone. The last I heard was that the police stopped giving info to Louie's mom. They don't want any leaks to get out and ruin any leads.
They ran a background check on Louie and could only find good things about him. Hundres of people came to the funeral, mostly friends at school. Everyday at work you would hear over the intercom
"Karen line 101". It was always Louie calling to tell his mom where he was and who he was with, because he didn't want her to worry. I feel so bad for her because she won't have that anymore. This has hit her very hard and I'm afraid she may not get over it. I hope that the police put an end to this soon so she can find some justice and closure.

As for Dot. The viewing is tonight and the funeral is tomorrow. I know she's in a better place and she's finally getting some rest. She had stomach cancer which the doctor didn't find until 2 years after she first started telling him about the pain in her side. By then it had spread throughout her stomach. They did surgery and Chemo but it wasn't enough. She's with her husband now, which is what she wanted. This just goes to show, if something is giving you trouble, don't let let your Dr. blow you off and say we can't find anything. Go to however many Drs. you have to. It may save your life.
