I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I'm all for it. If cinemas can find another source of income instead of raising ticket and concessions prices, then let movie studios, networks, and other advertisers send it their way. I read last summer about a group of people who were suing because, as they claim, they "didn't pay to come watch commercials." I say either come 15 minutes after the listed "showtime" if you want to miss them or expect to pay a couple of dollars more if you want to go to a cinema that doesn't have them.

I don't mind them... I just don't want commercials DURING the movies.

I go to the movies usually 3 or 4 times a month. I see a
lot of movies and I pay my ticket prices happily. I've seen the "2wenty" advertising and while it annoys me (because ~!GAG!~ I hate Britney Spears and she's all over the one I've seen 3 times) I understand the need and I don't have a problem with it
Then again I don't watch TV so those are some of the only commercials that reach me. I'm thier exact target audience- 23 with a lot of disposable income- but who doesn't watch TV... turning to the internet for my news and interests.
It's all cool with me. AND it's not a problem if I show up a little late to the movie!

I get refreshments and go to the bathroom, while the pre-movie crap is going on, I just catch maybe the last coming attraction then it's movie time so I don't mind about adding more crap before the movie.

That's just it. There are ways around having to see the commercials if you don't want to. The price of a movie for four (Me, Wife, and two daughters) is already extreme, anything to keep that amount from going out of control anymore is fine by me. Although the production companies could charge less to the theatres....
Yeah right, I know......

Actually, I don't remember the last movie I went to see at the Theatre. I usually wait for them to come out on DVD. I hate having to get up to go to the bathroom and miss something. The pause button is a wonderful invention...lol

As some of you know, I very rarely go to the movies. I find following a lot of storylines (plots) "useless," for lack of a better word.

You're welcome, Garrett. I wonder how many members would expected that yesterday.
