Need support and prayers please

I haven't been around the last few days and will probably not be around the next few either. My mom was taken to the hospital by ambulance on Tuesday morning. She was at her doctors office and her Dr. felt the need to get her to the hospital ASAP, she was having chest pressure and dizziness but so far we have ruled out heart disease, very good news, but now we don't know what it is that is causing this. She is still in the hospital and they are running more tests on her carotid and renal glands. The issue for me is that I have never seen my mom in the hospital. I stayed with her Tuesday night and helped her get in and out of bed and I handled it well while I was there but when I am not in front of her, I feel like I am losing it. I have never even seen her sick, she has always been my rock and now I am in a role reversal that I hate. I will do anything in this world for her I am just not ready for her to start having health problems. Boy, don't I sound selfish!! Me, Me, Me..........and that makes me feel guilty, what a roller coaster.

Anyway, all prayers will be greatly appreciated and I will see ya'll in a few days and will try to keep you updated.

Thanks and God Bless
Sandi

You have my prayers, but I have to ask for the same from you all...I've been experiencing identical symptoms within the past week (which is why I haven't been online much), and as you all know I have NO insurance or $$$ to get to an MD.

Thanks,
Bill/streetsoldier

No, it is not selfish of you to feel that way. You're in shock at the suddeness of your mother's illness and that the roles are now reversed. Both you and your mother are in my prayers! Keep us updated!

Sandi - of course I'll pray for your mom and you too! I know how that feels also, having your parent suddenly become sick. The role reversal is very hard to come to terms with. You just want to go back to the way things were. But it sounds as if you are your mom's rock right now and she's fortunate to have you. Take care and please keep us posted.

Thanks Everyone!! I just got a call from the hospital and all the tests came back "ok", the Dr. is going to keep a close eye on her but she is being released!! I was so scared and I realized that I am not ready for anything to happen to her! Thanks Everyone for your prayers and support! I will be returning in a few days when I am sure she is okay.
God Bless you ALL!!

I hope they find out what the problem is so that it can be corrected. I know what it is to be worried so badly about your mom. Sending love and prayers for you both.

Bill, sending prayers your way, too. Asking God to find a way for you to be able to get it checked out.

Sandi, I can remember the first time my Mom became ill and the sense of helplessness. As Miss Mary said, sounds like you found the strength to be the ROCK for your Mom. What a wonderful relationship you have. Your Mom's a lucky lady. I'll be praying for both of you. (((HUGS)))
Take care my friend
