I saw it on ESPN as it was happening and at first I thought he had had a stroke. However, when he began to leer about "I want to give you a kiss" it was obvious he was drunk. He had no commitment to be on TV that night, in New York at Christmas time, likely partying and was not prepared nor in shape for that interview. Theisman had some pretty pithy comments that confirmed Namath's intoxication.

I was watching the game.. I can't believe I actually missed that. He sounds like he was on something definitely alcohol lol..
