March 7 - The U.S. military buildup in the Persian Gulf region continued Friday as hundreds of medical staff prepared a floating Navy hospital for possible war casualties. The Pentagon said earlier that troops could face some unusual battlefield action: an immediate priority of securing Iraqs oil fields from eco-terrorism and coming face to face with Iraqi troops dressed in U.S. and British uniforms

faced German troops in US and British Uniforms during the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. Don't know about now, but back then such imposters were subject to immediate execution as Spies since the Geneva Convention does not pertain to such people.

I look for major attempt to secure both the oil fields and loading terminals. This would probably be undertaken by Special Ops troops prior to the initial bombing with immediate reinforcements from both the 82nd Airborne and 101st Airmobile divisions.

I hope all their equipment is up to par. I remember hearing of soldier fainting b/c their equipment chemical/bio weapon gear was too overwhelming.

Having spent some considerable time in chem warfare gear during ORI drills, we went 48 hours on one occasion, I feel for the troops. No matter what they do it is hot and bulky. If it gets to a chemical warfare stage it will be brutal.
