Wow--I was beginning to think the whole code orange thing was a false alarm--yahoo says theres no longer any investigations.... Being it was aborted, they may drop the code orange-agree?

Don't agree, lets keep orange for a little while until things cool off. I still have plenty of stuff rolling in.

I agree Beer....there are still some things going on that we are not privy to and I think the bad guys are "chopping at the bit" to make a statement. I think the events of the last few days show that our Pres and his government haven't been sleeping at the wheel. I'm afraid that an attack will happen but it appears the administration is working hard to prevent it. :usa

They had something to cancel those flights and now it looks like they might have gotten away. The French were reluctant to hold them until they were told that they would not be allowed to land in the US. I have read that they might have leaked these plans to get us looking one way and they went another direction.

I am just a tad bit nervous.. Because remember.. those planes haven't got off the ground yet.

You never know what tomorrow could bring. I still think it could be a "hold your breath" type day around here.

Tomorrow will be interesting in my opinion..

That is a scary thought.

Many may have seen this but there is a list of the top 120 cities that terrorists want to hit. Little cities-even Jacksonville is on there-though I would think they would seek a major city like New york where it would make news...

I would have to agree Jekye.. There are tons of targets in the country..

The thought that apparently 1 of the people who didn't get on the aborted flight was apparently a trained pilot kinda frightens me.. Means he may be on the plane tomorrow

I have always thought about the major cities as a target. Now that Tappahannock has made the list I really think they will hit major as well as small towns. You have to warp your thinking quite a bit to think like these guys. Every time you figure out how to think outside their box they just make a different box.

That's true Beer.. They keep changing the shape of their box

LA TIMES FRIDAY: Official: 'This is a broad and serious threat that is not going to disappear with the cancellation of one or two flights... There is a lot of crisscrossing data that points to certain flights, certain times and certain countries. It's not just in one location, point of departure or arrival. It's not only France and it's not only L.A'...

This is not good SG and here is a link to a news story about a letter sent to Bush with demands... says "We will give you a prior few minutes notice before our blessed attack so that you will be able to watch your destruction with your own satellite, as we would be by then have passed the skies of the seventh sky to heaven and your nation to the fires of hell."

This is a copy of the message saw on http://www.homelandsecurityus.com There is supposed to be a new message sent out after a major attack on the US---is already prepared-just not released untill the attack occurs-so imho, they are confident that they will pull this off :(

20 December 2003-- New bin Laden Message Aired

In addition to the taped message broadcast by Al Arabia satellite channel, analysts have found a message that appears to be more of an ultimatum than a normal message: Below is a rough English translation of selected portions:

We will inform of of our strike within a short time Allahu Akbar!

We will inform of of our strike within a short time Allahu Akbar!

We tell you that the time is close

Any wrong moves by US policy now will lead to "The Cave of Darkness"

And that is the name of the upcoming operation which will destroy them eternally, we apologize in advance for the destruction wrought upon humanity, and we apologize in advance for the peoples of America and Europe, for you have played the role of supporters as governments and roles of spectators as people. You've let the American and Zionist people decide the fate of the world

We realize the importance of the fate of the earth, we've studies these matters in great detail, we've concluded that the nature of the losses is bearable. You are the ones that set fire to the corpse not us...

Demands:

1-an end to occupation of all Islamic lands without exception
2-extraction of the Zionist cccupiers from the land of Palestine without exception
3-a return of all Muslim assets as long as they returned are in gold standard
4-a return to all previous border agreements
5-release all political prisoners
6-end tyranny against Islamic countries
7-allow us to establish the price of oil and we assure you that we will not to terminate the supply or let monopolies control the prices, it will be available to rich and poor alike
8-This summarizes what must be done, [reiterating points]

This is quite alaming---i hope that they dont really expect this cuz the US wont---i dont even think our Prez CAN provide all this-he dont even control all this--these demands are unreasonable. This is like a soap opera-- but they dealling with real lives here.

Yes it is a very steep list of demands. The "The Cave of Darkness" was an interesting read and I almost started a thread on it when I read it on christmas morning.
