I posted this on another thread, but I wanted to see how eveveryone else feels about this..

I do believe that AQ wants to attack us. As far as these air france flights go, there is one thing that does not make sense to me. It has been reported that maybe Las Vegas might be or have been a target for one or more of these flights. When the WTC was attacked AQ used fully fueled aircraft. Most of the planes where in the air for less then an hour. If AQ used these air france planes they would have been almost completely out of fuel, hence, not causing as much damage as the WTC attack. AQ is saying they want to create a dissaster bigger than 9-11, this would not be possible using aircraft with empty fuel tanks..

They wouldnt of stopped somewhere along the way and re fuled? sorry if that stupid I just dont know crap about aviation.. lol.. Also I think it was the Washington post that reported that it would be a Las Vegas hit, and I think they were only saying that because it was the only major city they would fly over..

That is the strange thing, These where all non stop flights from France to LAX!

Gotcha myred.. Thanks for the info.. I was not aware of that. Who knows.. Maybe they didnt plan of Vegas at all... They detored from there route last time.. Maybe they were planning that again..

Vegas has been a target for weeks now. It is the second most popuular destination for tourist's in the US. In their eyes vegas is the perfect target. Full of money and sin. Just picture a jet going into the Luxor on TV. Now factor in all the EMS response to it and add a truck bomb disguised as a rescue unit. Sure it would not be as spectacular as 9/11 but it might be a go sign for other attacks to start in other cities.

I have always been concerned about Vegas and Disney.. They got our Security symbol and they got our "Money" symbol... I would think a big tourist destination could be next

I agree with them wanting to attack us too. But I can't understand Vegas either. If I understand their flight plan correctly.. They I guess were going to fly over NY and into Canada and then make a steep drop into the Us before slamming into Vegas. {forgive me if that's incorrect lol}

They have tons of targets between NYC and Vegas. Empire St. Building, Wall St. Madison Square Garden, The Mall of America, Just to name a few.. I just think it's all scary to me.. I hope they don't attack even though it's just about a formality that they will again and the question is when..

The flight plan took the planes into Canada and then dropping southwest over Minnesota.

Even without fuel, imagine what a "heavy" could do in a long, low approach at either the Mall of America OR the Strip in Vegas...lotta damage, there.

Ditto if one came in through the Arch in STL and hit the center of the Riverfront above the levee...at least 10,000 dead on any given weekday.

I agree bill a "heavy" ie 747-757-767-777 flying as full speed would possibly rip through almost every hotel and casino in it's path. Not to mention the economic effect and fear to go to a major city..after it was all said and done. Like I said THANK GOD for our intelligence..it's seems to be getting the best of AQ

Yes, the flight path from France to Los Angeles (LAX) is over Las Vegas from the northeastern United States and eastern Canada.

Long flights make what is called a "Great Circle Route."

One of thr flights from Air Tihiti would of refuelled/stopped in LAX.

I believe AQ will do anything they possibly can to just put fear in us. A international flight would be more likely to hijack then USA... because international countries didn't feel the hurt on their home turf... IF France would of got hit, they would of been as cautious and wanting to take out these terrorists as we are now. And sadly.. we would of helped them.

Anyone agree?
