Another PC Question...

My home page is set to Yahoo! but it's been defaulting itself to a different search engine, and I don't want that...and it keeps doing it even when I put http://www.yahoo.com in the homepage area.

Any clue on how I can fix it?

Thanks!

Colin, what is your homepage called? :) That aside from the TSR site.

My homepage is "Looking For..." but what I want it to be is Yahoo!, but whenever I set it to that, it goes back to the "Looking For..." site the next time I go onto the Internet.

you my friend have a SPY WARE on your system. And your registry has been attacked and sabatoged :) So first you need to get Ad Aware and run it. If that doesn't fix it you will have to go into the registry editior and change the key manually :o

Ad-Aware is a FREE download, BTW...I have it installed on my PC, and it keeps the three Windows XP desktops clean as can be.

I still find it strange (for lack of a better word) on how Ad-Aware became known. It seems that we need to know about a program such as this to know it is really needed.

I am referring to how people find out about the software to begin with. I would figure other people wonder this same thing... :)

Advertising IE: Popups, email etc.. Also word of mouth... When you have a product such as Ad-aware consumers tend to realy get the word out.

I downloaded a trial version of a spyware scanner/remover and matched the spywares it found to their destinations in the reg key and deleted them.

I don't recommend that you do this but it's what I've been doing, until now, because I'm going to download Ad-aware and try it out!
