My favorite bridge - saved!

The link below goes to a site showing construction for a major highway project near where I grew up. You can click on the thumbnails at the bottom to see enlargements of the photos. The old concrete bridge is probably at least 60 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It's notable because it goes around a curve, which is rare for this type of bridge. The state DOT was considering taking it down, but decided to re-hab it and build a new one next to it to change the highway from 2-lane to 4-lane. I camped and fished under this bridge and spent much time pondering the design and aesthetics. The area is all ripped up for construction, but the bridge remains!
