You take a few weeks off shopping and it's Spring!

Yes, I was fed up with shopping, so when December 26th came I did not want to walk into any mall or store, except for grocery stores. :-) So I took a few weeks off.....

You see our Christmas tree stand was shot so I made myself pitch it this year. It was rusted out and the water would get so murky, it was time for a new one. I went up to Target yesterday, hoping to find one on clearance, and it appears that Spring has sprung around here! They have more merch rows for lawn and garden than they did for xmas stuff! A full 10 rows! Yeah, I'm in the mood for some gardening. Let's see if I can even do some digging, with the ground frozen as it is. I kept looking for that xmas sale aisle. Finally asked a clerk - it's all gone! She mumbled something about salvage. Wonder where it all really goes? Well, anyway it seemed like xmas merch was on display for months and now it's just completely gone!

Ah, the marketing world, it's a seasonal driven land.

Jacki - ship me a xmas tree stand will ya? There isn't any trace of xmas at my local Target. Maybe I should check out other stores......LOL I was just blown away by their lawn and garden section. Wow, it's huge! Nothing at all like the xmas section was.

Actually I'm not a shopper. I will shop if I have a list of items to buy but forget window shopping. It's a waste of time for me. No money to spend - I'd rather do something else. My oldest daughter is the opposite - that girl was born to shop we all say. She thinks I'm from Mars or something......I blame it on my old job, working in a doctor's office. I wore uniforms for 10 years so my wardrobe consisted of a dress or two, and the rest was casual. Still is in fact! I just don't get much out of shopping. :-)

Yep, that's when all the summer wear and beach supplies are in! Then, when summer comes, that's when all the back-to-school supplies are in!
