I thought I'd post this early enough for everyone to
read it when they come into the "Off-Topic" forum.
Isobar and StormcrazyIowan and I have been trying
to get this together to say our "good lucks" and
"hang-in-theres" to Shannon before she leaves for
AF Boot Camp. SO, we are having a Going-Away (for
a bit) Party in the S2K Bar on Monday night, Jan. 19th,
around 7:00pm CST. For the regulars, hey - it's another
reason to cyber-party! For those of you who may
have never graced the Bar forum :o, LOL, go to the
Community Forum thread and click on "S2K Bar (Enter
at Your Own Risk)", and you'll find us. There will be cyber-drinks
served, and, whatever cyber-music you want to hear!
Imaginations can run, well, literally WILD in there, so,
do bring a cyber-chauffer, in case you have TOO much
fun! We're looking forward to the fun, and, even though
we hate to lose our POJO for a while, we know she's doing a
great and honorable thing! And, hey - she's ONE tough Lady!

Please come and wish Shannon off everyone!!! I know I'll miss her greatly- and I can't think of a better way to send her off! Stop on in, we won't disappoint!!!

Ive never seen Pojo in chat but Ive enjoyed reading her posts. Hopefully after her training she can get back online again.

You know what...that's one party I can live with...I shall be there for a couple hours!

A note to george_r_1961: the Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard people get "trained"...Air Force personnel receive "education"!

But only Marines get raw meat as a reward...

I'll try to make it over and visit with Shannon for awhile that evening.
My nephew may want to use the computer a bit later that night for some cartoon network games.

Someone once said to dad, "I was in Marine Intelligence." He said, "Sir, the words 'Marine' and 'intelligence' don't belong in the same sentence."
I, to this day, still hold to that belief.

A former pastor of mine...well, he is a Marine veteran and he would have fun trading jokes with an Army vet and a Navy vet in the church congregation.

Ah heck - for Pojo I can be there. Or any of you for that matter. I shall be there Monday evening, 5 PM PST (7 PM CST).

I will try to make it in as well...and I promise to all of you that I will pass along Shannon's letters as frequently as she mails them to me.

Count me in......can't wait to see her off, BTW, what kinda Ta-Killya do y'all serve in there?
