Who is your hero? Who inspires you??

My hero would be my Parents.. If I end up being 1/2 the parents mine were, I'll have done well.

How about the rest of you?

I have many - especially friends and family, but a more well known standout in my mind is John Walsh, who took the most unspeakable tragedy and channeled his pain and anger into an invaluable service to our society by creating the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and subsequently hosting America's Most Wanted. A true crime fighter!

Hard question...OK, I got one!

"No poor, dumb sonofabitch ever won a war by dying for his country; he did it by making the OTHER poor, dumb sonofabitch die for HIS country!"-General George S. Patton

My high school science teacher. She helped me with many lessons other than science.

Brittney Spears!

Seriously, I've never given it much thought, don't know if I truly have a hero or not!

My parents and a couple of elementary teachers that I had are my heroes.
My first grade teacher because the lady had to be a saint to put up with me. Way back when I started elem. school, those of us in MS had no clue what kindergarten was. We started with first grade. I cried EVERY day! She never was short with me, nor was she uncaring. She always comforted me.
Believe it or not, she also taught my daughter and my son!
My 6th grade teacher was great too. When I was so ill twice that year that I had to be hospitalized, she was there visiting me and helping me to keep up with my work. She taught my mom and my brother!

"LOL!" Of course it was a joke, I mean *anyone* who thinks Brittney is a hero, worships her, is a little suspect IMHO! I'd have to go with Marshall, The "Duke"....I had the honor and pleasure of meeting him in person, my father had lunch with him WAY back in 1969, he was/is truly, a hero! Plus he WAS VERY, tall, makes me (6'4" tall) look like a midget!

j - I could almost have said the same thing. My dad was my hero too, but he's up in Heaven now. Loved by nearly all, except my Mom. They divorced when I was a teen. Nasty, ugly divorce BTW. She has some residual feelings about him, and for the most part, she keeps the negativity away from me, not much can shake my opinion of my dad. I was a Daddy's girl, thru and thru. I miss him each and every day.

I'm back. I decided.. I must say my hero is Elaine, my mother. Through the years she has proven to me that you can never give up and you can never give in. If life gives you lemons...make lemonade :P Even though she has faced many challanges and trials..she has thus far overcome them all. Yes she has made mistakes..as we all have but more importantly... She learned from them and carried on. She has made me so proud of her time and time again.... Yes, My true hero is my mother..she gave me my life and so so so much more. I can never begin to repay her Thank you Mom :) :) :) :) ...I love YOU :)
