Mardi Gras in New Orleans---Feb 24th

I always go. Used to be on the drill team but now I just go for fun!! I also go the Strawberry Festival every year.

Went once when i was in college. Whew! That was enough to last me a lifetime! I have no desire to go back there for Mardi Gras again! I do go to NO to purchase my throws for my parade.

I choose to stay in Lafayette for MG. It is very family oriented and my husband and i belong to a krewe. In fact i was a maid on the court of Krewe of Bonaparte. Had a blast. We also ride in the krewe's parade which is the Saturday night before MG and our ball is on Lundi Gras (Monday night). The only day we don't have parades for MG is on the Sunday before MG.

Nope never been.. Would of liked to have gone before I got hitched.. Oh well.. Now will do I guess. LOL

I've only been to NOLA once and that was in June. I'll stick to the slightly safer, cleaner smelling Mardi Gras here in Galveston. NOLA gets too packed and people get too drunk and then you need to sterilize your shoes after walking down the street. :o
