When does everyone think the war will begin and please give a reason why

Voted never mainly due to the delays. There wasn't even this much attempt to please everyone in 1998. If something happens, it would likely be later and be more limited, IMO, prehaps slightly larger than 1998, but nothing massive

It's hard to call now. The scenarios run from a collapse of diplomatic efforts and a quick strike to the currently being disussed delay till the end of March which would push war into April. The only thing that would stop a war entirely is for Saddam to accept exile which is probably the remotest of possibilities.

I voted 1-10 April because I think that's the most likely scenario. If France and their cronnies don't show some sign of a compromise and diplomatic talks break down, then it will be sooner.

I agree that it is a fluid situation. I chose the last week in March because if we wait much longer then it will be much to warm and the elements will be just another enemy.

Saddam accept exile ? I highly doubt it. He's to much of an egomaniac.

I guessed 3/15 long ago and then someone (sunny) lol took my day and picked the 29th...so I figured with these deadlines in place, they want to confuse Saddam and strike unannounced and under optimin darkness.....from the 24th-9th of April there is a new moon phase and this suits the troops best....so IF it goes down....between those 2 weeks window is my guess!

We still have to wait on Turkey to vote whether or not we can base our troops there. It will take a while for them to set up. IMO, none of us should know exactly when this will happen. We do not want Saddam to not be surprised. As of now, he knows it is coming and is able to prepare. Those cowards took us by surprise on Sept. 11th.

My view of this starting is by the 1-10 of april timeframe because the new moon will be on april 1 and also you have to have 3 weeks for the troops to prepare in Turkey to then open the northern front but I wont be surprised if Bush goes earlier than this timeframe to get the element of surprise to the Iraqis.

I'm sticking with the end of March

i chose the 1st to the 10th, but could be any day.....
