This is the newsweek poll that shows Kerry beating Bush by 3% but many things can happen from now until november 2 so take this and other polls between Bush and the democratic candidates as information only not as a given that it will happen.

You are very correct Ceye, there is alot of time between now and the election. The Dems have to get past the primaries first, then worry about poll points vs. Pres. Bush.

I think Bush will win like Reagan did in 1984.

Gotta wonder what those people are thinking! lol
Btw...I predict Bush will win and it won't be as close as 2000. JMO

Either way it swings, I don't think it will be as close as 2000 either.

I also think that the election wont be as close as the 2000 one but not a landslide either.

I believe it will be a landslide.

I trust NBC for news as far as I would trust Jesse James to guard a bank...
As for my prognostication for 2004? There's a lot of polarization out there; I see Bush winning in a "squeaker".

But Bill the poll was made by newsweek not by NBC.

You have to remember that President Bush hasn't even started his campaign yet. I have no doubt that the polls will reflect Bush's real lead with the American public once the race gets underway

If the economic recovery keep going, and I think it will, Bush should get his second term without much problems.

Umm... yeah, I think he has started campaigning. It will be a balancing act for him though, too. If he gets too wrapped up in campaigning critics will say he isn't paying attention to the matters at hand. That is an unfair assessment IMHO, but it is one that has been used before.

If you think he's campaigning now just wait till the Dems pick their candidate.

The fat lady hasn't even started warming up yet

That's true. MSNBC and Newsweek are the same company.
The Washington Post owns Newsweek and NBC News, of course owns MSNBC.
