My father's health has taken a turn for the worse

and unfortunately, I don't believe that he'll pull out of this ... IMHO, I believe he has less than a month left ... in fact, he's pretty much given up and is ready to be called "home".

It's very, very hard to cope with since it's inevitable, but looking at him today, his eyes are very glassy looking, and he's having some problems with his breathing ...

I've resigned myself that if he wishes to "go home" (as my father would put it).

I, fortunately, got some photos that I just put up with my father in a wheelchair when my half-sisters were in town (that I put up on my website last night), and this was basically the last time my father was out of bed ...

I'm so sorry SF! I can't imagine how helpless and frustrated you feel.

Just try to remember all of the good times that you have had with him and your family. I'm sure he'd rather that.

SF, you are in my thoughts and prayers, asking God to grant strength to you, your father, and the rest of your family. I lost my mom after her struggle with emphysema. It's so hard to see a parent suffering through something like that. And it's even harder to let go when it's time. I'm not going to pretend to know everything you're going through. But I can relate. Hang in there and let us know if you need anything. You know there will always be one or two of us here at any given time.
