Acupuncture..anybody had it?

Just wanted to find out if anybody has had any success using Acupuncture. I went Saturday and had 18 needles stuck in my elbow and hand...radiant heat applied...then some kind of burning herb lit on fire, put in a bamboo cup and stuck on my arm (a procedure called "cupping").
Anyway...jury is out. I'm still in significant pain (Tennis Elbow). I'm going again thursday, and skipping bowling this week.
I did a good amount of research on the internet before going. In the Eastern world, this is the primary treatment for Tennis elbow with doctors claiming 80-90% success rates.
I'm told it depends how bad the inflamation is, and how long you have been in pain. I'm sitting at about 9 months so I was dignosed as chronic with several treatment probably needed and significant rest of elbow. Also told that if patient has recieved cortizone injections (which I have), that it could take longer for the treatment to work. Now sure if my 1 week off from bowling would be considered "significant", but I can't just sit around and watch Survivor and MTV.
Of concern also is the cost which I'm getting at about half price because she is a patient at the office my wife works at.
$60 per session is her regular rate.
