TV Show Alert: Friends/45 minutes long

FYI - Thursday, Feb. 5th Friends' new episode is 45 minutes long. Just passing along the info in case you have to record it. I know I don't want to miss a minute of Friends before it ends. Please, non-Friends fans, be kind, no bashing. If you're not a fan, skip to another topic. Thanks!

Just curious - I quit watching friends several years ago.
How long is friends normally? Is 45 mins longer or shorter?

When Friends first appeared, in 1994, it was 30 minutes long. Somewhere along the line they decided to occasionally give viewers a longer episode, 40 minutes or so. There's a catchy term for doing this. Not sure if Friends was the first NBC show to expand from the 30 minute time slot or not. I think Scrubs has been expanded too. But in answer to your question, Friends is usually 30 minutes, unless it's a season finale episode or something special like that.

Most television programs are 30 minutes. If they aren't TV listings should indicate this or people will figure a half hour for their TV watching.
My TV listings does indeed have Friends listed from 8:00 pm to 8:45 pm Eastern and Apprentice from 8:45 pm to 9:59 pm Eastern..
As I have mentioned before, I am more interested in TV schedules, rather than watching these programs.
