Signs of Spring

It's early, and this is really a weather-related topic, but it is also one that seems to give hope to winter's end and an awakening good attitude.
Thought I'd post it here.
Yesterday I passed by the Scottsdale stadium, spring training home of the San Francisco Giants. Out in front I noticed a pizza deliveryman delivering a stack of pizzas to a crew of groundskeepers working on the field. They are sprucing it up, the grass is greening nicely, the park looks ready to play already!
Airwaves have all kinds of ads about upcoming spring games and the arrival of both players and fans!
So even here in Scottsdale where winter is more like fall, there are some serious signs of spring!
Have any in your neck of the woods?

GOOD TOPIC!!!
Actually, last week I was on my way out of the development and I saw about 6 or 7 robin sitting on the grass are (which was covered with snow) along the side of the road. They were trying to get some sun and they looked SO COLD! Generally, I get really excited when I see them because it is definately a sign that Spring is coming. I think these little guys were confused!
We keep hearing on the news that it's only a few more week until spring training. I can't wait!

LOL!!!
I actually see green as well!
Unfortunately, I think it's just the "late" January thaw. I think we're still in for something - a round #2 and then HOPEFULLY we'll be done.
This time of the year I feel like I can turn into a bear and just hibernate!

I hear you! The inside of my house definately gets neglected during the Spring because of Spring fever!

Well, here's a sign of spring, retail related. We wanted a steel shovel for scraping that nasty ice off our driveway (we no longer use salt after nearly ruining our driveway years ago, it will be need to be replaced someday) when we have days that go slightly above 32. Jim and I began the search this past week one evening. Couldn't find nary a one. At a hardware store. He wants a good one, figures. Can't just pick one up at the grocery store, if they even have them still. Anyway, Steve at all these hardware stores they have lawn and garden stocked and ready for sale as soon as you walk inside. Where did winter go I ask, after going brrrrr for days on end. Only natural I guess for retailers to be ahead of the game. Need a swimsuit? They're in the stores! Just another example!!!

Miss Mary - that is just like seeing "Back to School" clothes in July or Christmas sales and ornaments in October!

The robins have been back here for several weeks,
singing their cheery song. The hyacinths are trying
to bloom, even though I keep burying them under
leaves - too soon! I keep looking for the giant
snow crocus to pop up in the front lawn, but,
not yet - some of the trees even had buds on
them, before this last little cold "snap"...all
the signs still say, Spring is just around the corner!

No signs of spring here. Snow and ice everywhere. They just have the roads clear from the last go-round. It got above freezing for the first time since december on monday when we were getting sleet.

I will accept the arrival of spring when I no longer need my heavy, USAAF A-2 leather flight jacket just to take the Nannerbelle (she be a ho') "'side"...

Well my roses are blooming along with my water lillies. Does that count?
Looks like I MISSED winter this year. 4" of snow. Dang, I WISH!
Think we're suppose to get 4 inches of rain, which means it IS Spring! Bummer.

We are having good signs of spring here in the NYC area. Temps this week will be in the low to mid 40s with no storms forecasted the whole week.
Plus another good sign is wen Pitchers and Catchers report in for Spring Training.
