A sign that I'm getting older

I just went to the supermarket and it seems that all the music ther're playing is stuff I grew up with. 70's soft rock type music - by the original artists - not even watered down Muzak versions. They even played a Niel Young song! It's eerie. When i was a kid it was all "old people's music." now it's my music. Am I an old people?

Mature, wise and Seasoned is a better term - like a fine wine. Think of it that way Ed. You're not getting older - just better. Have I convinced you yet??????? I'm still working on convincing myself!!!!lol

Hmmm. Hepcats were big in the 1950's, but in their time were VERY COOL. So either you're saying that I'm a relic, or that I'm "ok." I'll choose the latter

"Hep cats"? That was WAY before my time..."boss" would have been more like it.
From a student radio broadcast I did in college...
"Are your little peaches SWEEEET, baby? Get down in 'Position No. 19' on your radio dial, and lissen the GROOOVES I'm sending to ya! Now, for the boss hits and the boss songs that my boss told me to play...It's 10 o' clock! Do you know who your parents are?"

Actually Ed, it means that the manager of the store has good taste...and might be an old people.
A more important sign of the aging process is the conversations you begin to have with friends and family.
We visited friends in Gilbert AZ last night. The first half of the evening was spent talking about our various illnesses and medical conditions. In the background, some old Chicago music was playing, and we all knew the words.
Wouldn't be able to do that with Matchbox 20!

I have began having old people episodes, too, Ed.
LOL, when I mention a song by a group such as
Rush, Yes, or Boston, and, the young ones in the
office look at me and say, "WHO are they?
Oh, yeah - I forgot - I'm an old people, now...

Well, include me in there as well!
I've noticed alot of 70's music being played (YAHOO!

) in the stores. That is my era.
BTW, Lindaloo, I've been getting those little gray strands for years (I'm 42), but now they're coming in alittle more frequently. I'm using a semi-permanent hair color now, but I can see in the not so distant future I'll be doing a permanent dye.

All right - who started saying they're old now....Ed?!!! Have to have a talk with you.....LOL Gray hair, ugh. Been there, done that. I had about 20 or so gray strands in my bang area for years. I would cut them out. I like thinned out bangs anyway! Hairdresser said I needed to stop doing that though, he he. About 5 or 6 years ago those gray strands seem to go from 20 to 100. Jim said I'd be bald if I kept cutting them out! But I tried to do that still. Turning point was after a New Year's Day party, one friend just kept staring at my head so later I looked in the mirror. Yep, there was one very wiry, coiled gray hair I missed (need reading glasses now too, LOL) that was sticking straight out! Like a mattress coil - boinnnngggg! I began coloring after that - professionally at first, until I was nearly having heart attacks after paying those sky-high bills, and now just do it myself. I save only about $40 a month by doing it myself. I do not want gray hair, yet....in time, when I'm in the nursing home maybe, LOL But not yet!

It's not that difficult to color your hair Miss Mary. I don't have to worry about "doing the roots" yet since the semi-permanent color fades away all over.
I know friends that have colored their hair for years and have no idea what their natural color would be right now. They do pay through the nose to get the colors and highlights. I want to spend my money on other things.
