Just saw on Fox News, latest Fox News/Opinion Dyanmics Poll show Bush approval rating at 62%

Blair also at 62%

But Chirac at 9%

Hmmm

Also, those who support a war on Iraq increased since February.

That's all I remember. I can post more when they put it on the website if I'm still home.

lol... doesn't matter what we think of blair or chirac tho. B/c chirac's are high in france while blairs are low in brittain. Bush is safe for now, but not nearly as high as before!

I know it doesn't really matter what we think of Blair and Chirac...just interesting.

As far Bush's approval rating, it's actually gone up a little since the last poll. Of course it's not as high as right after 9/11. I doubt another president's rating will ever be that high again!

It's still pretty darn high.

Interesting poll numbers. I wonder what Chirac and Blair's numbers are in their own countries. I am sure Chirac's is high and Blair's is low, but exact figures would be interesting I bet! :multi:

Bush Sr. was killed because of the economy. That is the same problem GW will have to answer to in 2004.

What on earth could he have learned from his Daddy to prevent what is going on now???

I guess he shouldn't have ran for president after Clinton. He's left with HIS mess! He's left with dealing with Osama bin laden when Clinton let him get away with attacking us! Our economy is directly affected by the events and aftermath of 9/11. 9/11 MIGHT have been prevented if Clinton had taken care of bin laden when he had the chance. I'm not saying it is entirely his fault (I don't believe anybody saw it coming) but he should have spent more time protecting Americans and less time with his pants down!

Also, the economy was already headed downward before Bush was even in office!!! Don't try to blame this on Bush. It isn't his fault.

I am not even going to try to defend Clinton, because I am in the minority and I will leave that to somebody with more time.

However, regardless what killed the economy (and for the most part I agree southerngale) Bush will have to answer for it.

Actually, it takes a while before the economy turns around. In fact, the economy was good during the Clinton Administration because of Bush Sr. NOW, Bush Jr is having to bear the brunt of a bad economy because of Clinton. If re-elected, Bush will have the next four years of economic growth, if we can keep those that want to hurt us out of our country.

It's actually quite pitiful. Clinton got to reap the benefits of Reagan/Bush policies and then pass his mess down for Bush to clean up. Like I have said before and sunny shine has said, there were quite a few key things Clinton should have taken care of that would have directly impacted some recent events. I'm not going into all of those things again unless someone wants to hear it. I know sunny shine has posted some of it a few times already. Hopefully ya'll read it.
