Lights totally out briefly and WHOO it sure gave me a startle!

Had to go re-set my digital clock that was flashing.

Crazy weather, animal...whatever the cause...

We did have some sleet earlier in the late afternoon/evening and then some light freezing rain both for a brief time...so yes, some ice could have been the cause.

I have lost power three, maybe four times since I've lived here in central Florida, (since June 2000).

One time was because a traffic accident somehow hit a portion of the line that my area is connected to.

Eric, it does indeed sound like it was from the ice in your area.

How brief was the outage?

We had several power surges and/or brief outages around the Christmas holidays, even one at midnight on Christmas Day itself ... probably due to people playing with their new toys (and the wet and damp wx that night too).

must be the snow/precip in the area...but its done for now... got a good little snow out of it!
