BERLIN, Germany (Reuters) - A truck carrying raspberry syrup to a jam factory sprang a leak that left a 25-mile sticky trail on a highway, German police said on Tuesday.
"We think the truck lost around a ton of syrup," a police spokesman in the Bavarian town of Schwabach said.
Police said improper loading had caused a steel container to break. After stopping the truck and plugging the container, police sent the driver on his way to Aachen, 280 miles down the road.
The fire department cleaned up the slick, causing disruption to motorists, police said.
