Are there any Southern Gospel Music fans here? My family and I love SGM. We're big fans of The Greenes, The Crabb Family, and The Hoppers.

I'm more into Christian pop and rock from the late 80's and early 90's (I don't listen to the radio much anymore except for talk radio, so I don't know any new artists). Amy Grant has been a long-time favorite and I've seen her three times in concert. Her ex-husband Gary Chapman is wonderful too (and funny!). I also like Petra, Newsboys, Lisa Whelchel (ok, so she only had one album but it was good!), Rick Cua, DC Talk (yes, I know it's actually rap), U2 (yes, Christian), Stryper (yes, I know -- heavy metal :) ), Russ Taff, and Allies.

Tim, if I put you in my will, I'll bequeath all my Christian music CD's to you. :)

I do like Amy Grant's early offerings, but I'm not a "gospel" music fan...call me what you will, but I prefer older sacred music...Palestrina through Handel, and in Latin.

Thanks, Duck! I'll be sure to put you in my will and see that you get all of my SGM tapes.

I used to love the original Chuck Wagon Gang. The group still sings but not with the original people.

Yes, I enjoy them as well. I also love the Gaither Bluegrass Gospel cd.
