I Wish I Could...

We spend a lot of time looking at other people we come in contact with. Seems like we spend a lot of time wishing we could.....do things that they can do, sing like she can sing, smile like that person smiles, look as good in my clothes as he does, had a head of hair like he does, played the piano like she does, play ball like Barry Bonds does, or whatever.

At my age I am pretty content with who I am and where I am in life, but I do find myself wishing I could do or be a few things.

Like, I wish I could have enough time and money to learn to be a pilot and actually not worry about the cost of flying. I wish I could have more musical talent especially with my voice.

Any wishes you have when you look around at others?

I wish I was taller as well. I know that seems petty, but I would be much better at basketball if I could be about 6" taller. ;)

It's a hard thing to learn how to do- be comfortable in your own skin and not be envious. I find myself saying things like those mentioned above a lot... as I'm getting older I'm becoming more confident and comfortable, but I know I still have years ahead of me... I don't know if I will ever be so at peace with myself that I stop wishing for what others have! I guess time will tell....

I wish I had the compassion, the love, the ability to forgive those who hurt me emotionally like Christ did.

Tithing and how much you give is between you and The Lord, Brother. :)
Why would you feel uncomfortable about it, David? :-?

I'm pretty content in my life, things just keep getting better and better for me. I suppose I wish I hadn't been such a sun goddess in my youth, so my skin would be healthier in my older age :). Pretty happy with everything else, though. :O)

I wish I could be more tolerant. That's not one of my strongest traits.

Oh, and I wish I had learned to play the piano instead of the flute.

I wish I could sing. I love to but it doesn't mean that I can.

I also wish that I had more self-confidence in myself.

I'm not into "wishing", but if only I had the strength and vigor I enjoyed as a young adult, but knowing what I do today...

I wish I could be more patient, and also be less shy.
