It's official...MO to have "Concealed Carry"!

The Missouri Supreme Court issued a ruling that the concealed weapon law is not unconstitutional, which now opens the way for private citizens (after background checks, training, range scoring and a fee to be set forth) to be licensed to carry by as early as mid-March.
If I only had the money, I'd be picking out my Smith & Wesson "L" frame right now...;( Meeting the range standards would prove NO problem for THIS old streetsoldier...

Yes, I heard that last night Bill. It is a good day for Missourians.

Strange you'd say that. wx247, and still support Edwards...whose voting record on firearms is about as anti-gun as you can get.

Bill... there are some issues that I am conservative on. Gun control happens to be one of them.
I have said before as well that most likely after Tuesday I will be a Bush supporter. I feel Edwards has a positive vision for this country. There will probably be post after post bashing Edwards after I made that statement, but I believe that. I have his Real Solutions booklet and it has information/ideas that I agree with.
I have no personal qualms against any person running for office (with the exception of Kerry). Anybody who betrays this country like Kerry did will NEVER get my vote. I hope you understand and respect my opinion.

Good deal streetsoldier on the CCW. I have been thinking about finally getting mine here in FL. It is $35 for the class and $100 for the permit for 5 years.

I appreciate and understand your position, wx247; no harm done, I hope.
As to a handgun for me...I may try to find a less expensive, but efficient semi-auto, like a Russian or Bulgarian Makarov, or used VGC German police Walther PP/PPK in .380 (9mm Browning). 9mm Luger "Parabellum" pieces would be good, but are WAY too pricey at this time.
Since MOST gunfights occur with 7 yards or less (that's only 21 feet, folks!

), a little "belly gun" might be more concealable, and handier to carry...but I'd still miss Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson's influence.

streetsoldier I have one of these
TZ99 in the 9mm. I think I paid $275 plus transfer to the pawn shop and it came with two 15rd mags. No problems after 100's of rounds and it has a nice feel to me.

The ONLY thing I dislike about the permit, "Big Brother" knows which weapons you own. Until recently, ALL my weapons were unregistered "shhhhh!"

I thought I saw one of those in a FAC catalog last year...I'll have to check next time I get one. The only other 9mm they had was an ARCUS (Hungarian), which resembled a short-barrel Browning Hi-Power with finger grooves at $259 wholesale.
SA does make some NICE weapons, as I've heard...

Funny bumper sticker my friend has that relates to this topic...
"I believe in gun control... having both hands on it."
