I never do.

I supersized my orders sometimes.

By 2005, McDonalds will never be the same.

The story cited "American's growing preference" for "healthier food"; it should have been "pressure from radical nutcases who want to dictate every detail of public and private life".

All this willl do here is send droves of teenagers to either Hardee's, Wendy's or Burger King.

The demise of the "McAttack" begs a moment of silence for those who champion entrepreneurship and free enterprise...plus a penchant for fast food.

Say it isn't so! I'm so sick and tired of political correctness in this society. If I want to clog my arteries it's my right!

Actually, I do applaud their decision only because we are encouraging people to eat more than they are supposed to. If you want more, than order double. I think it was a responsible decision on their part. I don't super size myself.

Nobody is infringing on your right to get fat in this decision. I think it's a very smart move.

Sounds like PC to me. All people will do now is double order their favorite fries. Why should McDonalds blame themselves? Makes no sense. People are going to still eat what they want regardless.

The problem, I think, is society became obsessed with Supersizing! I think the problem wasn't that the Super Size was available, but they constantly ask you and ask you to Super Size. I always say no, but it gets annoying. If I wanted it Super Sized I would have said so.

Case in point... the other night I went to Burger King and only ordered a Grilled Chicken Whopper. Then they asked me if I wanted to "King" size my fries and drink. I promptly told them that I had only ordered the sandwich. She was amazed and had no idea how to charge me for just the sandwich since she had never done that before. :o She had to get the manager.

I used to Super Size my orders a lot. I'm going to miss that option lol

Me and George always order a supersize fries and share them so we don't have to order two. Crap!

Sounds like a plot for making more money ... two orders of fries instead of a supersize, or a great biggie, or something ...

If you are what you eat, I'd be a super-size french fry... mmm... Mickey D's fries...

the fat police win again. if you dont want to supersize your order, then dont. it wont be long before their is a list of what is legal to eat.

its simple linda. mcdonalds knows that sooner or later some slick john edwards lawyer is going to sue them for making people fat. we now live in a society where everything that happens to us is someon else's fault

McDonald's gets a checkmark in the WIN column on the public relations front by saying they are responsive to the nutritionists who are crying foul.

But you are right that MickeyD lovers will now simply double their orders and get more of what they want anyway.

When you're in the mood for fries, there is no amount of nutrional information on the box or fear of lifelong harm to your body that will stop you from them.

Until nutrionists figure out inspired ways to incorporate and prepare healthier foods in fast food restaurants, we'll continue to home in on the smell of those nasty fries!

...and two other things along these lines.

First, someone had better make a satisfying nutritional meal for the price of a fast food meal. Sure, you can buy a healthier lunch for $6.50, but you can buy an unhealthy one for $3.50.

Secondly, they had us all fired up over no fat/low fat alternatives only to tell us that they not only are going to cost more, but now they are no better for you than the bad stuff they replaced. Throw in all the diet programs, and there is no consistent message coming from any credible source.

There are so many inconsistencies in what is and what is not good for you to eat that we tend to give up and enjoy what tastes good to us.

Lastly, if calorie and fat intake is so much a factor, why not offer MINI orders of the same items. At least then people could enjoy the appeal with only half the calories and fat!

Like many of you, I fight the nutrition battle too. While we often hear the great need and benefit of fresh fruit and vegetables and beans and whole grains and fish, those very things can produce negative side effects to your system that make them unappealing as well (too much acid, for example).

Moderation...that's my battlefield. Moderation in all that I eat....the good, the bad, and the fries!

They could have done like candy bar makers and just gradually made them smaller and smaller, scaling them down so we don't notice.

After all, if they hadn't introduced all those Big Gulp drinks and super-sized fries and whopper combos in the first place, we'd still be getting those regular small orders of fries in little paper sleeves and would have never grown accustomed to value meals and...
