Oooooweeee. Man, I can feel the heat all the way over here. Sharon is going to take some heat from his own people over the violence started from this one. He personally ordered it.

And investors dont like what has happened as the dow is way down today. They fear that terrorism will spread all over the middle east and in many parts of the world including inside the US.

And they also threatened the United States. All I can say is Israel better be ready and alert for the backlash.

I have NO sympathy in the death of the Hamas Leader.

Many countries around the world haved condemed Israel for this assasination of the hamas spiritual leader.Russia,China, the european union,Japan and other nations. The pope also condemed Israel for promoting more violence instead of peace.

I'd go to the funeral, but what I'd do at the graveside wouldn't pass for dancing! :grrr:

Besides, this "spritual leader" had NO theological training (just heard this on FoxNews), as if that makes any difference to Hamas and Israel.

However, Ariel Sharon, a career Israeli soldier-turned-politician, is the WRONG man to be heading any peace efforts; so is Yassir Arafat, career terrorist-turned-"president". Both sides need better leadership, IMHO.

Bill I agree with you on the last sentence you posted about the leadership of both Sharon and Arafat that is not good for their causes.Already their haved been some mortars thrown at Israelie military posts at the Lebanon border with Israel and that may be the start of a major vengance attack by Hamas and other terrorist groups.

Sharon himself could become the target. Threats against the U.S. could take the form of an assissination of someone at that level.

Will be a very unnerving few days, for sure.

Does anyone believe that the group will actually attempt an attack of some kind against the US either here or abroad..?

I think it could happen.. But am not as sure as I would be if it were Al Qaeda.

All I know is that we better remain alert and be prepared to respond in the event a tragedy unfolds..

Not too sure on that one. Hezbollah has put the blame on us and threatend to attack the USA as well. They do have cells all over the US but they seem to be only in the major cities by looking at the map. BTW he was hit directly with a missile. I have seen the pictures and they are very graphic.

These people have been fighting since the beginning of time. It shows no chance of changing in our lifetime. :-(

You can't make peace with terrorists...get rid of the terrorists, then talk about a road map to peace...imo.

Uh..if memory serves, three of the Seattle Al Qaida wannabes had "Hamas" plaques in Arabic placed prominently in their homes...which begs the question, how many Hamas sympathizers/operatives/wannabes are IN the US?
