Al Franken has a radio show now?

What's that all about? Who is going to listen?
His comedy bites the big one on SNL and, IMO, the show is not that funny. Why does he need a radio show? TV and movies are already inundated with liberal messages. No offense to our liberal members, but it's true although there are a handful of conservative celebrities, writers, and directors.

This is part of an effort by moneyed liberals to provide a response to the "monopoly" that conservatives have on talk radio. They've been at it for a while trying to launch something. At one point there was an effort to buy a radio network, and I think that Al Gore was involved in that. I am sure that his show will be filled with bile and vitriol. Like you, Duck, I don't think he's funny at all and SNL is a tired show. When he's tried to ridicule Bush, he comes across as bitter. Who wants to hear that?
Al Franken..

He was that Stuart Smalley guy on SNL -- "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me."
*yawn*

I understand your disgust, but if they want to be on the airwaves then that is their right. It won't last long.
