Rob that debate last night about your position against the war and myself,Marshall and others favoring war was a great debate that we favor in storm2k because there were no personal attacks against anyone.

In other boards this kind of debate would get out of hand with personal attacks and fingerpointing but last night you acted very cool in your thinking of no war and the rest of us who favors war did the same so Rob keep those debates comming this way and this confirms that storm2k is the #1 board at the net debating the issues.

Thanks for seeing it that way Luis. I dont want to be 'penned' or 'coined' as being a 'minority' as said in previous posts about my position in all of this. Those are simply MY beliefs, whether they come true or not remains to be seen.

If I am so wrong, you people will surely tell me, if I'm correct, we'll see, but dont underestimate my way of thinking and let it get out of hand to the point that it did last night. I felt alone and I dont like being segregated from anything.

I'm sure if you were in my position last night you'd be saying and possibly acting differently. I'm not about making a war based on reports and observations and news coming from other sources and 'rolling' with it.

I am making a stand that no one else seems to want to take on. I'm not into politics, not a Liberal or Activist or protester, I'm simply a human being that just says something from the same book, but on a different viewpoint and level of communication.

Trust me, if we didnt have 2 sides to everything there wouldnt be much to talk about or discuss here or debate for sure....we'd all be unified and on the same page and that would surely make things dull and repetitious.

So call me what you want since I'm separated from the rest of you....I still stand firmly on my current position where I think war is not the answer, it shouldnt happen, and it wont anytime soon.

Again, this is my OPINION, and I'm not in the fields of Iraq anymore, but I have alot to say about it and thats all I'm going to say today on this issue.

Please dont knock someone for their beliefs, since many times the underdog wins.

Rob I agree that if all were to be in accord with one position only then there would not be any debate of any issue but having diverse opinions brings the debates and discussions with respect for all the positions.

Exactly Luis. Just because I see things differently and my beliefs and views are not in conjunction with most others here, simply means that I have a counter for everything already said. I'm not trying to make this out of hand, but it seems like I feel like I'm the only one speaking in the defense here. If thats the way it is, so be it, the world goes on and the war will to without us having anything to do about it but either commend it for happening or not liking it happening at all. There's nothing anyone can say here that will change the minds of the people already there, nor will we know for certain war will erupt in the next 24-48 hours. In many ways I wish the war would either start for all the right reasons, or never get off the ground at all.

Rob... I am glad to see you speaking out in defense of something you feel you believe in. While I am not necessarily on the same page as you, I commend you defending your thoughts and ideas as I do on a regular basis here. The great thing about this board is, however, that we are allowed to state our opinions, and discuss our differences.

If you do not like being penned or coined as a "minority" then you should not take the "minority" position. Otherwise, take the label and be PROUD of the fact that you have a position to state and simply state it. Do not be pulled into I said, you said, debates(I am saying this to everyone here!!)

REMEMBER!!! IN DEBATE THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG, JUST FRIENDLY DISAGREEMENT AND A PLEDGE TO MOVE ON WHEN ALL SIDES HAVE BEEN AIRED!!!

David I disagree bigtime with you...sorry. I am not taking up a position as a minority. We all have equalness in what we represent ourselves to be. This is the very facet that makes our country great....the fact we HAVE minorities within our lives and we can all collaborate as equals.

I dont also need to be labeled, thats not something you'd like either, so I suggest there be no more of it. Its not only demeaning, but puts those very minorities as you guys phrase it, down beneath yourselves. We are all not perfect and we correspond and respond to reports...some get carried away, but the labeling has to end and segregation based on you people making us out to be a minority.

I am not, repeat, NOT to be labled as a minority based on opinion and feelings here. Thats just more insulting feedback David. How would those 'minorities' feel looking in from the outside? Like they cannot breathe? Like they have no chance? Think about the Cubans, Mexicans and all the other races in our great country that are minorities as well....the blacks as well. I give them all an equal chance in life and I have no enemies, but dont ever label me and never call me a minority for what I believe in. Thats just wrong IMHO.

Minority in this case has absolutely nothing to do with race so I'm confused as to why that gets brought up. Your views are shared by less than 50% of the US public by all polls I have seen. That means it is a minority position as opposed to the majority opinion. Facts are facts..

I like how you Admins and Mods are quick to point out flaws with a person. Thats not respectful for one, and number two, this thread was about commending me, not reversing this again and twisting it to make you people look better. Get over it. Minorities have EVERYTHING to do with race, they parallel in every way. No wait, I forgot, I'm an 'Isolationalist'. Get real. Polls are not accurate either, so why use that as yet another tool in your defenses? Its all hearsay, live with your stats and I'll stick to mine. Debate over. Have a nice day. Try not to dwell on issues you cannot control.

Well Rob you have asked that it be dropped a million times and the posts continue..... So i will just help us both out and lock the two threads..... IT WILL NOT BE BROUGHT UP IN ANOTHER TOPIC EITHER..
