STORM2K

When I joined Storm2K 2-16-03, I was looking for a new weather related message board 'home'. And I instantly found it, I might add. I noticed right away Storm2K was a warm, caring environment that encouraged ~everyone~ to contribute, no matter how big or small. It had that one-for-all, all-for-one feeling, the minute you logged on. The PBS just wasn't a fabricated place, it truly existed here! I felt this way up until a week or so ago. Now I think we've somehow lost this feeling or if it's still there, it's buried under mud slinging/name calling/deleted threads, too numerous to count or even bother to mention. Not my intention of this topic anyway......what I'm trying to say is this.....

I want it back! I want our former comraderie back.....I hope it's not too late.

Okay, who's with me on this? Thanks for reading....

Miss Mary the WWBB board has been down a lot lately so their posters have been trolling here. Another reason; like any group of people we have our problems. We are working to resolve them and have made progress. So we should be back to normal before long

George - didn't mean to complain. I know the Admin and mods are working their tails off, behind the scenes. I just want those on the sidelines, regular members shell shocked at all the trouble, as I was last week, to speak up!

I haven't paid any attention to the WWBB trolls so I really feel like there is nothing different about this place.. It's still the warm and loving home..

Hey storm2k members dont cave in to those posters from wwbb and try to ignore them because they want to test us to see how we react. But Miss Mary I am very sure that storm2k will restablish itself as the family enviroment board it was before this episode so dont worrie because some bumps in the road this board had endured in past weeks but the #1 position as the best weather board in the net will be reafirmed.

Mary Unfortunately...While we continue to take the high road here at S2K...some people just try to cause problems and show their true colors..what color is a troll by the way?? . My advice is we be the bigger person and try to ignore them. The Staff of S2K is on the job and rest assure we will keep S2K The place we have all grown to know and love. I assure you no matter how long it takes S2K will continue to weed out the bad apples and continue to Be "The Legal Addiction"

Don't worry Mary. This is just a little bump in the road as others have said. Everyone is still here. All that warmth we all love so much is still alive and well. The Admin and Mods really have been doing an excellent job. Hey, you only grow thru adversity. Right????? (((Hugs))) to you my friend. Hang in there.

I'm really sorry we ruined your life. Here's something to help.

Storm2k has its set of rules, WWBB has its set of rules ...

I enjoy seeing the people that post on both the boards, and there's nothing wrong with that ... On WWBB, the controversial level is on a much higher level than right here on Storm2k ...

What it boils down to is a level of respect ... Storm2k was founded, as Miss Mary stated, as a family-oriented atmosphere, and rules and guidelines were set in stone, and those rules apply to everyone, no matter who visits and are registered members. WWBB has more of the hardcore flavor to it, and I don't have a problem with that, either ... I easily adapt to that style.

A troll has no level of where they come from ... and a good majority of the WWBB posters are not trolls ... Personally, I don't mind seeing some controversial topics and good heated debate...just as long as it doesn't turn personal. And IMHO, I don't want to see another TWC, either ... (which, BTW, is about as dead as a mortician's office) where anything controversial is deleted, which I don't think Storm2k is in the slightest.

Again, the Storm2k rules apply to everyone, and while here, those rules are to be followed ...

When it comes to conduct colin. We INSIST they behave just like us By different feelings?? If you mean they don't like us, then they need to find another board to post on when theirs is down. Plain and simple

No one is asking for them to change their persona ... but everyone that posts here is subject to the same rules and guidelines set forth ... plain and simple ...

I think you're completely clueless as to how things are; get a grip on reality. Just because WWBB is not ultra-conservative and family-oriented does not make its regulars "trolls." You go over there and reads posts from regulars like weathafella, donsutherland, HM, CTshoreWx, HuffWX, and others, then come back and tell me that we're all useless trolls. Far from it; in fact, we can handle heated debates without going delete-happy and still not hate each others' guts when we come out of it, which is a good thing IMO.

There has been no increase in trolling here whatsoever since the WWBB went down. Will, Winni, WidreMann, and others who have temporarily taken to posting here are as intelligent and worthy of listening to as anyone here is IMHO, and they most certainly do not troll.

BTW, just a general note to the moderators: this thread contains a lot of negative comments and even borderline personal attacks towards WWBB frequents, and as such needs to be edited IMO if the rules are to be applied consistently.

Mary, it says you joined February 15th, 2003 under your member name... not February 16th, 2003.

Brett, Some members of WWBB have come here just to instigate trouble. Now if you don't know that, it's you who needs to "get a grip on reality" are "clueless as to how things are". In your words.

I'm sure there are member of WWBB such as weathafella, donsutherland, HM, CTshoreWx, HuffWX, (who as I notice are not posting here ) who would not be acting in this manner. IMO
